I've just heard his new single, 'Once'. It's very John Lennon but I'm into it. After his last solo album and now this I've got to say I think he's putting out better solo material than Noel. What do you guys think?

I'm not a huge fan of either of their solo stuff, but Liam is definitely better than Noel.

Being from their neck of the woods and seeing them half a dozen times and times as solo artist I can agree with you on this. Noel sold his soul a long time ago.

Anyway the pair of them get nowhere near the real genius of the North West. Richard Ashcroft. Music is power.

Thing with liam though is someone else is writing his material, he's also awful singing live. Noel's first album I thought was really good but he's definitely going down hill but he does sound decent live and it's his own material

With Lia you know what you are getting. The first line of the chorus has 'shine' in it. Which is almost his catchphrase now.

It's useful radio fodder but nothing special.
