Nothing worse than putting up a serious post in the forum, only for it to be shot down by some who likes ruining posts on here with silly comments
Should we start calling for these to be booted off the forums due to this |

Fuck me.
Without the moaners, the silly posters, and the angry ones, the forums would be fuckin depressing.
The mix as it is makes for entertaining reading on the whole. Let's leave it as is. |

It all depends on how serious it is to be fair,I mean if it's serious serious then yes those people need their nipples pulling, but if it's just serious then a little gentle teasing may be acceptable. |

Was one of the serious threads you’re referring to, the one called ‘U shaped double dildo on group on?’ that you started ?
Apologies if this wasn’t taken in the serious manner it was supposed to be. |

I think you would have to ban about 70 percent of regular forum users if you did this, but you're right. When someone posts a serious and genuine question regarding sex for instance and people mock the OP and make stupid comments it's not very nice. There's one regular forum poster who never takes things seriously and sometimes silly comments just aren't necessary.
If this was the Daily Mail comments section I would be red arrowed straight away. ( I only go on that website to read the comments. ) |

No we should not, if you break the rules you only get a timeout. So why should someone get booted off the forum for silly comments? Although I agree with the above poster if it's a member asking for advice, it's not nice to poke fun at them.
The forum has to self regulate to a certain extent, so if you disagree with silly comments tell the poster by replying in the thread. |

I'm all for silly threads, but it's good to have the odd serious thread too. The beauty of the lounge is that you can post on a variety of topics.
I just feel bad for OP's who have a genuine question and want advice on what to do and people laugh on them. They aren't necessarily being abusive but they're taking the mick ehen it isn't the right time. That said I've seen threads about disabilities where everyone has been really nice. I think it's usually related to sex when people like fun.

Dribble is merely unpleasant, and then only in certain contexts. Bants is appalling under any circumstamces. |

After reading the rest of the thread I am not sure if you are taking the piss or not.
Either way, your OP is true, lots of people spoil other peoples serious threads and meet threads and seem to like doing it even more when an OP objects or doesn't join in.
If people keep doing it they do get banned...if they carry on after having bans they end up not being able to post at all.

Yes.
I couldn’t agree more.
There are a handful of tactfully humorous posters who post witty and well thought out jests that get completely overlooked because of the childish and irrelevant posts of some playground humour posters.
I’d like to propose a petition for the lounge forum dwellers to sign so we can lobby the powers that be.
I’m hopeful that we can also get some new buckets, spades and the sandpit refilled as well.
