I think there are some very vulnerable some very lonely people in the world. They will hang on to any hope given them. Everyone else can see it but them
You see it on here men and women getting hooked in when its obvious to everyone else. I feel sad for them but i also feel sad for the catfish who have to make up false lives because they themselves are insecure and lonely and just do it to garner attention |

Isn’t that illegal under the revenge porn law? What a vile and disgusting thing to do to someone |

A little yes. I think some also know there are red flags, but purposefully ignore them, because they want to keep up the fantasy and believe that the person is their soul mate. They hold on to that hope, despite alarm bells sounding.

"Sat watching "Catfish"..what do you think about the people on it, are the gullible or wrapped up in love??"
I saw one the other day and a women had been having a relationship for 11 years with someone she’d never met!
And the guy who thought he was engaged to Katie Perry even after they flew him to England to meet the catfish he still thought he was right. I didn’t know weather to laugh or cry |

That’s true actually. I said gullible but having watched it I found myself feeling really sorry for the people who fell for it to be honest. I don’t watch the programme I find it sad. |

There is a line when it becomes gullible yes. However sometimes when it reaches that point (for whatever reason) you don't allow yourself to see it that way. You accept the reasons and just believe them.
If I remember correctly there are in fact a few happy ending episodes of thst which turned out to actually be legit who they said they are, not catfish, just had unbelievable but true reasons for the suspicion to arise.
Also take a look at the original movie, the one that started it all. The host of the show was catfished himself.
The people falling for the catfish will have their own issues, just like how some of the catfish themselves will have issues (some more sadistic and manipulative than others). There was one episode thst had the guy (when caught) actually doing it to many more people and enjoyed it, took to it as if it were a job... |

There's a lot of people who were catfished but stayed friends too. I like those episodes. |

Yes definitely!
That's it, as shit as the whole process of catfishing is, it's not always as black and white or as simple as malicious and gullible. |
