Garters... A thing of the past?

It randomly popped into my head today that although many of us favour vintage-style lingerie such as boned corsets and bustiers, balcony bras, seamed stockings and suspenders, and even hold ups to a degree, it's rare to see a garter anymore aside from being the obligatory wedding trousseau novelty item.
Ladies... How many of you possess a garter? 
Gentlemen... How may of you find them sexy and would like to see them featured more?  |

I reckon they're sexy as hell when a lass wears one I thought they were still a common thing these days? I had the pleasure once when a lass wore one while I helped her cook dinner... Things got steamy |

Nope.. They really are rarely seen anymore aside from under a wedding dress. Although I've seen some stunning ones on bondage-wear sites that are tempting me a little. |

Absolutely... But stockings and suspenders were also made redundant by tights... Some things people just enjoy wearing! "
Well I get that of course. But suspenders hold up the stockings and that’s very aesthetically appealing...

Garters were originally designed to hold up stockings either just below the knee or on the thigh... Think individual suspender belt for each leg... Waist level suspender belts with long straps replaced them. Tights then replaced those.... As I said, some folk simply enjoy older styles purely for the look and feel. |
