To any theme park enthusiasts out there, what theme parks do you miss going to?
I certainly miss going to Camelot Theme Park. I always enjoyed going there for many years and it certainly was a sad shame it closed down after its final run in 2012.
I do miss going to Alton Towers as well as it's been nearly 10 years since I last went there. Hopefully I'll be going there next year when I get a season pass sorted and go once a month. |

I loved going to The American Adventure Park in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. They had a ride similar to a bungee jump - think it was called a Skycoaster? Absolutely loved it ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

Cool. I've heard of that park. It's a shame it ended up abandoned like Camelot did.
My favourite coaster at Camelot was Knightmare. It was the rollercoaster that helped me overcome my fear of rollercoasters. I can remember looking up at Knightmare and I felt this urge to go on it despite not liking rollercoasters so I ended up going on it and I've been a lover of rollercoasters ever since thanks to Knightmare. |

Loved The American Adventure when I was a kid. I found a way of sneaking back on to The Pirate Ship after just having a go. I apologise to the people of the early nineties. |

I came here to say the exact same - that Skycoaster (Skyswing? Would be appropriate) was so much fun! Absolutely loved the one that went through 3 loops and a twist then sent you backwards through it again - I want to say it was the Torpedo, but maybe that's just a generic rollercoaster name. |

Camelot has closed? I knew I hadn't been in a while but still...
You'll be telling me next that you can't hire betamax from Blockbuster and that Marathons are smaller than they used to be.

I live quite close to Drayton Manor and enjoyed going in “the old days” when you only paid a few quid to park and could buy bands or tickets if you wanted to go on the rides, it was great for taking g the kids to the zoo etc ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |
