Why are some people so aloof,one minute they chat away merrily then they are to good for you??
Some folks are very fickle
I’m just plain old me, try to always answer all messages if I haven’t so sorry xx |

I'm not sure it's being aloof, and conversations can fizzle out for all sorts of reasons, maybe someone else came along and they got distracted, maybe they weren't as invested in the chat as you were, maybe real life happened, maybe any number of things.
I don't let it worry me - with people I chat to regularly I know it'll pick up again at some point, with others I just take it as a sign that it's the end of the conversation.

I'm too short to be aloof.
As Gemini said, you can only know what's happening at your end of the conversation. If you're finding people aloof then maybe they aren't people you'd want to meet anyway?

You can only hear from the individuals themselves and assuming they are aloof sounds potentially judgemental, when many reasons aside from psychological issues would be very likely.
Primarily, people are not here chatting with the priority partners in their lives, will have families and careers that come first and there's no expectations of response within a set time.
