Somebody (my mum!) said tea was refreshing in hot weather "
It takes longer for your body to convert a hot drink into sweat (which cools) than a cooler drink, so leaving the fluid in you for longer.
So if you mix the drinks, cold and hot, you should stay hydrated for longer.
