Angus & Findhorn

well my mums was bringing my sister and I up alone, struggling initially and washing dishes in a cafe to earn money. Going onto to train as a nurse and climb the ranks within that career. Instilling in both of us a work ethic, humility and the fact that you get nothing for nothing except LOVE.

gone but most certainly still loved.

Happy Womans Day all x

I'm really proud of the 7 years work I did for a women's and children's charity and was involved in having some laws changed regarding them giving evidence in court.

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

Ive worked in some countries where this is a really big deal - a mixture of Mothers Day and Valentines Day, and either a half day or a full day off work.

Ill have to ponder the achievement and get back on that one...

I think it's shocking that they have an International Women's Day.

What about all the women in our country FFS!!?? It would be nice if they were included too.

It's racist AND feminist!

Apart from my 3 boys, going to Uni at 33 and getting an MA(Hons)...my kids were 13, 4 and 2 at the time. It was the hardest and the best time of my life!

Taking on the education system and winning, meaning my son has the best chance in life

Instilling values in my daughter and watching her blossom despite illness and know that she still comes to me first no matter what or how bizarre the problem is.

And as said before, just by being and finding me

As a senior nurse spending hours with student and newly qualified nurses and sharing knowledge and experience, now as a very old nurse seeing some of them now in senior positions.

Staying financially independent and not relying on benefits or money from my ex to bring the kids up and have a decent standard of living

.

Surviving in a very male orientated business.

Being invited onto the board of directors of a company for what was supposed to be a period of 3 years, I actually stayed for 12 and other than the Director General was the longest serving board member and the only ever female director

Im proud for completely turning my life around. For bringing my son up with support whilst suffering from a severe illness and that he has turned into a lovely, well adjusted thoughtful young man. Im also proud of loosing ten stone, which in itself has changed my life to a certain degree.

Im proud im a fighter and survivor and never see myself as a victim

My greatest achievement? Living with infertility, despite that being the way society measures you as a woman, as a successful woman.

I have a wonderful marriage and a successful career, and above all, I'm an amazing friend.

That's the measure of my achievements.
