I’m not goth but I think I’m alt in some way (I’m aware I don’t look in in my profile pic). I don’t know what style I am but it’s not mainstream, or so people say. I do occasionally get messages back after I send a face pic saying ‘guys with long hair aren’t for me/us’. I’m ok with that though, I know my look isn’t for everyone. |

Dont forget us alt/goth guys.
I was a part of the London and European scene for years... its actually how I eneded up in this place. (Via a couple of sideways moves.) Still got great friends in the punk and alt scene.

Kind of. I mean I've spent most of my life wearing black but I'm not a goth honest! These days mainly listening to folk punk type stuff (Ferocious Dog, Black Water County, Gaz Brookfield, Skinny Lister) but still a late 80s early 90s grebo at heart |

I wouldn't describe myself as goth/alt, I used to be a bit of a scruffy hippy in the past but just go for the crazy hair colours a steel boned corsets these days I do love the goth/alt look though |

Not for me as I've always been a soul boy but had an interesting pub conversation only this week where we were saying in our yoof at school you had mods, heavy metal, punks, skinheads, etc but now it all seems so sterile with everyone dressing the same |

We’ve seen the tour dates for sisters of mercy. Just trying to justify it to ourselves. It’s a hell of a long way and we don’t really do London. But what a night it would be...aside from WGW we haven’t had a decent excuse to really get dressed up in ages |

We’re not goths but we dress to please ourselves we have been told by people they think we should dress more ‘our age’
We are late 30s I’ve got multicoloured long braided hair he has a Mohawk and we wear what the hell we like
Hate it when people judge on looks alone but then those people are obviously not worth knowing |

"Does being an old goth/metal person count ?
Wasn’t our wardrobe pinched from the fetish scene ?
Lots of cross pollination x
"
Pretty much anything counts . Looks like we will be missing WGW for the first time in I-can’t-remember-how-long. Hubby has been in hospital because of his drastic weight loss. They are feeding him through a tube sewn into his neck for two weeks to build him back up for an op. Then the chemo starts. So it looks like we could be out of the loop for a while .... |

There was a woman that had had a double mastectomy...her t shirt read “I’ve lost my tits not my sense of humour “
Apparently if you have the “right” sense of humour, it’s kind of a clique ...see who can wear the most offensive t shirt ....it keeps people positive and in a fighting mood. All power to them I say |

I was a mod at school but when I got to collage I started to drift over to the punk goth look and the the madchester thing hit so depending where I was going dictated the look.
As I love all kinds of music and blurred the lines back then.
I remember going to a family wedding when I was about 18 with a Mohawk bleached white and then blowing them all away on the dance floor to the northern soul |

Can't beat. Cho*er, and a corset. I have over 40 corsets many "neck corsets" as hubby calls them. Lips are either slut red or black. Clothes are nearly always black. |

Got into metal through Black Sabbath back in the 70’s
My entire wardrobe since has been primarily black.
Tend to listen to Prog music with various time signatures etc as more technically minded musically
When my kids were teens we were known as the Adams Family even owned an old hearse.
