I learnt to drive before I started school, on my grandads land. First thing I drove was a Massey Ferguson 35
Took my test soon as I turned 17
And then again at 35
17 took my test in an automatic, as had a frame holding my left leg together after an accident.
35, finally sat my test in a manual. |

I haven't.
I'd like to as I reckon I'd be a very capable driver. For now I have to remain a very capable navvy for 2 reasons.
1) I can't even afford lessons, never mind the rest of it
2) I have photosensitive epilepsy. It's not bad enough to affect my day to day life so I don't bother with medication but I can have twitches and temporary blindness if the sun is catches a row of trees or fences.

I wouldn't say I had a huge panic attack however I did panic every time I was on a lesson so gave up until I had the kids. Even then I didn't like it and only had the car when the ex wasn't using it so didn't get used to it for years. Now I love it and don't even mind the 6 hour drive to my cousins |

A week before my 42nd birthday.
I failed my first test 20 years earlier and just didn’t bother trying again. I lived 20 minutes walk from the city centre and public transport was fantastic, didn’t see the need for a car. I relocated to be with shaggy, wasn’t long until I got so fed up with the crappy buses here that I decided to get a scooter. Drove that on L plates with cbt for a couple of years and decided to learn to drive again |
