Firstly i truely believe 99.9 % of people find direct,in your face , obvious racism adhorrent.
Touchy subject ,stop reading if offends.
I,m no academic nor of high iq ...
However i think either deliberately or by mistake .Trump has shone a light on a area of concern thats in "plain sight"but society does not wish to address.
This being the thinly veiled rascism that exists behind cultural,and ethnic bias.
Crudely put , if a white person says something they are jumped and oustraciced immediately. However we are not so quick to call out those with similar views from religous,cultural or community inheritance, due to fear of antogonising this group, who would reverse allegations upon those who do call it out.
Think this Trump inadvertadlily has opened the debate on that " elephant in the room" |

Yes I remember that a policeman of Somali origin shot some women to death. Was about a year ago if I remember correctly. I think she was a tourist that was attempting to report a crime. |

There may be a degree of deflection, with the paedophile scandal, & coincidentally this "go back home" statement happened on the same day as the ICE raids started..
It is irrelevant what was said beforehand though, as has been pointed out, 3 of the 4 women referred to are American born, & all are American citizens, they were targeted specifically for racist reasons, & that's the whole point. |

Trump is using racism to stir up his base. He tweeted a nonsense tweet about four women, three of which were born and raised in the US. The one that wasn't was the one he targeted at the rally. He stood back and allowed the audience to chant that she should be sent back. He is using racism as a political device. It's disgusting.

I agree that he was in the wrong and should have been found guilty for his recklessness. To say he executed him means he always intended to kill him regardless of whether the man complied or not. How can you possibly know what was in his mind? He shot when the man appeared to reach for his waistband, so say in the belief he had a concealed weapon. The officer was not in control of himself and aggravated the situation. He fucked up. |

I guess we can both believe one thing or another. I have zero doubts, that the intent was to kill. He first had to exit the room, where he would be potentially most dangerous at to handle. He was then shouted orders for several minutes whilst kneeling on the floor with his hands in the air. There was every single chance there to deescalate the situation and take him into custody. He was held at gunpoint by 6 officers, their tone of voice in the video shows no sign wanting to handle the situation calmly. To assume he still had a rifle or even a pistol at the waistband of his shorts after all he went through and 6 officers didn't notice is absolute bullshit. To add to it, he shot him 5 times. He had engraved words "you're fucked" and "come take them" to his police issued fire arm.
The officer stated the victim was trying to gain a shooting advantage by crawling towards them...which he was ordered to do by the officers who said he will get shot if he doesn't comply.

The one thing he is good at, is appealing to his target audience.
Everyone laughed when he decided to stand for the Presidency, yet by careful manipulation and promising what he could, he got into the White House.
If he gets re-elected, it will be either because his voters see him as a more viable option than whoever stands against him, or because voters feel he has improved their lives in some way.
I am not a Trump supporter in any way. If he had used the money he inherited by chucking it into a high interest account and spent the last 20 years finger painting, he'd be richer than he is now.
I was in the USA during last year mid-terms. The TV ads were shocking and campaign ads were broadcast that you couldn't get away with over here. But they tap into the American Psyche and hit the right nerves.
He's out of order, but so used to doing whatever he wants, he feels invincible.
I do wish I had paid attention to the Episode of the Simpsons where they predicted he would be president. A tenner on that would have been a very lucrative return. |

How can you possibly know what was in his mind? He shot when the man appeared to reach for his waistband, so say in the belief he had a concealed weapon. The officer was not in control of himself and aggravated the
situation. He fucked up. I guess we can both believe one thing or another. I have zero doubts, that the intent was to kill. He first had to exit the room, where he would be potentially most dangerous at to handle. He was then shouted orders for several minutes whilst kneeling on the floor with his hands in the air. There was every single chance there to deescalate the situation and take him into custody. He was held at gunpoint by 6 officers, their tone of voice in the video shows no sign wanting to handle the situation calmly. To assume he still had a rifle or even a pistol at the waistband of his shorts after all he went through and 6 officers didn't notice is absolute bullshit. To add to it, he shot him 5 times. He had engraved words "you're fucked" and "come take them" to his police issued fire arm.
The officer stated the victim was trying to gain a shooting advantage by crawling towards them...which he was ordered to do by the officers who said he will get shot if he doesn't comply.

I think trump says a lot of things the wrong way, I think he says a lot of things he shouldn’t.
In this instance I think a lot of people have taken a tweet the wrong way.
He probably could’ve handled the chanting crowd a little better, rather than standing for 13 seconds looking proud as punch. |

We probably aren't so quick to call out others for their racial intolerance, apart from perhaps Israel, but even legitimate criticising of the Israel government/army is being deemed as racist, with Trump's approval.
Trump is definitely legitimising racist behaviour and there has been a rise in hate crimes since his inauguration. He should be impeached for what he said about the congresswoman.

That doesn't actually mean he is responsible for the growth. This particular period of growth started in the Obama administration. Trump may not have caused it, he just may not have changed things in a way that would cause it to stop.
To make that point convincingly you would need to say what he has actually done that has made it happen and preferably contrast it with what the opposition would have done that would have caused it to stall. |

I'm no economist so can't really comment, but if you slap tariffs on most items coming into the country to encourage people to buy American, I'm guessing that would contribute to a boost the economy.
Statistically employment figures may have risen but this will include zero hour contracts and forced work in return for welfare. There is still rising poverty with people struggling to live on ultra low wages. It's a wonder some people don't get depressed and decide to pick up a gun and go....... oh wait!
Time will have to tell on how good a president is. |
