The Muffs reformed in 2014 and released an album, check it out. Nowhere near as good as their seminal cover of "kids in America" but time takes its toll.

So OP there is still Muff out there but as with all things it has become a little withered with age

Muff has felt under threat because of Brexit. As a border village, a lot of its income is derived from NI. However, they are resilient folk up there.
