Good afternoon dear friends Fabbers and Forumites.

Home from work and it's such a glorious day . I'm sat in the garden, admiring my roses . All feels rather splendid with the world .

So chums and please share with the group.

What's made you smile today?

Let's share those spiffing smiles

Taff

I crossed a road bridge which is only wide enough for one car at a time so a certain amount of courtesy is required.

It appears that Willie Wontmove attempted to cross at the same time as Terry Tryme and they met in the middle refusing to budge. They both just sat there for 6 minutes or so while the traffic all around queued up.

I think I was supposed to have cussed and been annoyed but to be honest I couldn't help but just laugh at the pair, the silly pricks.

No makeup, tasteful jewellery. Yes. I've never worn a trouser suit. You do have an amusing view of me. I wear a lot of neutral wrap dresses or skirts and blouses with blazers. And heels. Loafers if I can get away with it.

"See Torch. Raising the Lounge standard effortlessly."

It's good to be wrong Meli, it's a massive positive because the lessons we learn from being wrong stay with us.

The opening lines from one of my all time favourite songs go like this:

"Sometimes I'm right and I can be wrong

My own beliefs are in my song"

It's my mantra that is.

Sly and the Family Stone; there's a back catalogue worthy of anybody's time on YouTube.

My eldest brave boy realising his first serious boyfriend has been cheating on him and him telling me all his plans to go out and enjoy life now.

Lastly, a job I was offered and pulled out of (then regretted) have unexpectedly contacted me today asking me if I'd reconsider because "they really think I'm perfect"

Hiding in the shadows

A meeting at the youngest Ferals school.

He's got a 'few issues' & attends a specialist unit.

He's going through puberty at the moment, really struggling with his emotions, anxiety & aggression.

But hearing his teacher, speak about him today.

Reduced me to tears.

Model student. Excelling at everything. He's getting the Heads student of the year award, for the 2nd time. He's won a national literacy award.

After several very tough weeks with him, hearing all put the biggest smile on my face

And, then I bought a new kayak

I've smiled all day today. We're on the last night of a two night mini countryside break, today consisted of breakfast in bed, bit of retail therapy (£140 worth of undies for £40 in the M&S sale ) afternoon gin cream tea followed by a dip in the hot tub, then we went for a drive & found a thai restaurant, yummy food, then back to the hotel for cocktails! Feel utterly relaxed!!

What a fabulous thread
