What gets you musically.
Me it's drum n bass or beach house podcast.
Love how music can instantly change my mood and energy levels.
I do listen to all types of music but those are my go too musical choices.
Also love how a song can take me back to a memory I had completely forgotten. |

As the song goes "Music was my first love..." well it wasn't Spurs probably got that slot aside from my Mum and that girl in my class I was going to marry when I was 7
My love of music has endured almost as long as my love of my Mum though and covers many genres and styles with individual songs evoking so many memories both good and bad - certain songs only have to start to transport me to a particular time and place.
My first real passion musically was Two Tone (Madness, The Specials, The Beat etc) and second era Mod (The Jam, Secret Affair etc) they introduced me to ska and reggae, bought me up to date with punk and new wave and opened my ears to things like 60s bands like The Kinks, The Who, The Small Faces and The Beatles - from there my tastes grew and were added to as the 80s gave way to the 90s and things like dance, rock, swing, northern soul and classical got added to the list to the point that today my iPod has thousands of tracks on it that range from Beethoven to Biffy Clyro, Sinatra to The Sex Pistols and Glenn Miller to Girls Aloud and more besides.
If I had to pick one genre though it'd come back to my Two Tone/Mod roots |

I really want to listen to your playlist now...i'm sure it would overlap quite a lot with mine, but there's a good chance I'll discover something new |

I guess it depends on what do you mean by epic music.
To me epic music is has to be powerful so something like,
Lacrimosa Dominae https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcKaCCedjQY
Requiem for a Dream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LhaXf3iTHo
Music that makes me cry
Eminem - Mockingird
Music that motivates me
Welshly Arms - Legendary
Music that makes me think
Johnny Cash - Hurt

I mostly listen to chilled stuff nowadays. My mixes are composed from the same music I listen to... Showcasing underground artists who do triphop, instrumental hip hop, jazz sampled loops and beats. As long as its dope asf.. Its cool with me x |

What he said, but it seems I might be a little older as I started with punk and meandered through many many twists and turns including disco, new romantic and onto the likes of Utah Saints and KLF then Moby and The Chemical Brothers. Music has no limits and I just feel all the moods in all the beats |

Yeah that thtee year difference was crucial as I was a little too young to truly appreciate punk when it hit but soon caught up as my tastes grew through Two Tone (which was so so so much more than ska) |

Add Rush, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Yes and Genesis and you’ve just about covered the musical obsessions of my youth. |

I thought you might get Rush in there Doc
I have quite an eclectic taste in music, although I have all Sugababes CD's, I'm really a Rock & Blues man at heart |

Our current music rotation contains a lot of M.I.A, the albums Matangi and AIM. Some really epic tracks on both, although that's not going to be for everyone for certain. |

my own little sanctuary |
Very much rock/metal heavy in my taste but bipolar in many ways, currently it’s mostly the standard rock legends but with a bit of nu metal and I’m also an emo kid at heart so a lot of bmth and such thrown in there too. Having said that I’ll still two step to some Barry White and a bit of Luther |

I find it really hard to pin down a genre. One day it's house or 90's dance, another might be hip hop or rnb. Same with radio. One day I'm not ready to admit I'm 40 and want Radio 1, another I'm happy with some peaceful talk radio. D |
