My parents are whippet people and i look after the hound part time.
I let him go in big open areas where he can't bother anyone. He is nice to people and extreamly well trained/affectionate but you can't let him go around cats/dogs/farm animals..
The last one we had was taken hunting alot but I don't hunt for fun. The dog does whatever it wants in open areas and tends not to kill.
I have to take him away from football pitches/dog routes and just let him go or else he wouldn't get the running he needs..
He gets walked for about 2 hours per day so I wouldn't want him full time. |

I know exactly what you mean. I can only really let mine off when there's nothing else around. Just in case. If he gets a hint of a squirrel or rabbit, he's in the zone and gone! |

Something creative, somewhere my ideas are appreciated.. something that allows me apply my brain a bit, but not kill it. Same for my body.
Most importantly something that pays me enough to not have to worry about financial things and spend time with my children on a regular basis.
If anyone knows of something like that and is hiring, I'm prepared to do ANYTHING. No job is beneath me. Provided I'm treated with a bit of respect and dignity. |

I just watch a little black dot getting smaller and smaller into the harison/Forrest untill it's gone.
I sit and worry for 25 minuets thinking a train or car or farner shot him
Then I turn round and see him behind me panting with a grin on his face.
Covered in mud/saliva/bits of Forrest....and hopefully not blood or a limp
Once I shit my pants watching him run directly towards a barbed wire fence he couldn't possibly jump over after rabbits. He just dived through the gap in the fence like a racehorse.
His brain is just abit smaller than a tangerine but he's smart at doing his own thing.
He understands every single command but does it if he feels like it and in his own time.
But he is well behaved at home and poos/wees on walks. |
