Lots of ways; choice of pose, choice of outfit, angle of the picture, use of colour/black&white, general inventiveness of the pictures...
I mean, you can look at a photograph someone takes and tell that they've thought about it, and see what it suggests about the person who took it. Is is full-proof? No. But it can be suggestive. |

Would that just show they're good at taking pics though? An eye for art.
Or they may have a friend taking their pics and asking them to pose.
I probably don't need to point this out but I'm shit at taking pics. If I got a mate to take some for me I might improve a little but then people would be fancying my photographer mate and not me. |

My inbox fills up a little whenever I add new photos. It never used to. Kind of goes hand in hand with how much and how I'm using the Forum usually.
Is it the photo? Or the words behind it? I can't tell and don't really care.
I put time and effort into taking pics, because I enjoy doing it and love the positive attention if someone else likes me or the images. I do keep a few unfiltered pics on my profile, because I don't want to mislead or hard sell my way into bed. |

Then I see someone else's black and white pic and I think it looks great.

Most of mine aren’t arty at all. I take a picture and upload it quickly before I pick flaws to the point where it never sees the light of day
I do love seeing people’s artistic impression in pictures though, it just adds depth and definitely makes it more visually stimulating. There’s one lady in particular who never seems to post anything but awesome pics. I mean she has a lovely body but you can tell she has a brilliant mind from the amount expressed in each picture. |
