Are you a morning person? What time do you usually get up? And how long until you feel awake?
Any tips for becoming a morning person?
I am not a morning person. I need help. I think these early starts will be the death of me. |

Yes I am, I love being the first person up, its so peaceful listening to the birds. My alarm is set for 5.55am I'm up and out of bed as soon as it goes off.
Tips would be to set an alarm for the same time every day. You should get used to it.

Today is the latest I have got up for work 6am. Every shift so far has either started at 3am or 4pm and the weekend and next week looks similar.
When I finish mid morning I come home for 2 hours sleep and then try and get to sleep around 8th for the next mornings alarm clock, 1.30am or 2.30am. It's fucking horrible. However, I rock up in work and have a right laugh. |

I think I would find the mornings easier if I was getting a decent night's sleep.
I just hate getting out of bed and even after 8 months of having a baby who wakes up between 4 and 6 I am still not used to it! I've never done well at getting up early though. I remember getting up at 5am for work and I barely spoke a word until 10am as I just felt dead inside.
I'm so jealous of you guys! Please send me some of your morning energy |

The only way to become a morning person is to go to bed earlier.
I am not a morning person at all - my sleep pattern is terrible and I feel knackered most of the time!
I usually start work at 11am because I just cant get going in the mornings - I'm completely useless |

Takes me a while to wake up.
My girls wake me every morning by getting in bed with me. Then nag me till I get up and get them a drink.
My favourite way of being woken up is a hard penis pushing in my back |

I'm up at 5 all this week and at 6 all next week and repeated every fortnight. Cold water on face teeth done a coffee and good to go .... its the late nights the night before make it worse and then the long drives once I'm up |

I had to change my morning routine a little while ago because of work patterns
If it helps think of sleeping in 90 minute blocks (as that's roughly how long a sleep cycle takes), then count back in 90 mom blocks from when you want to wake up and that is when you should be in looking to get to sleep (so of you're up at 6 go to sleep at midnight or 10.30).
It sounds counter intuitive but sometimes actually waking up earlier than you need to is better as it aligns with the end of one of those 90 mom blocks (waking up in the middle of a sleep cycle leaves you feeling more tired and groggy).
Hope it helps! |

Yes.
Up at 4.45 every day, take my dogs for a 4 mile walk, come rain or shine, feed the hounds, then shower, quick cuppa and out to work. 7 days a week normally.
Love it |
