It's a song by The Style Council, fuck all do with the thread like but I never miss an opportunity to spread the gospel of The Council.
Has the phone had its day as a means of social interaction? Even my 80 year old mum only texts me these days. I've got to admit, I favour it myself due to the fact that I'm on and off the phone all day at work, so I'm glad to hear a single 'text, WhatsApp,or kik, (ok the last one's on silent) alert. The first thing I think when my phone rings is "who the f is that?"in a very downbeat way.
Old Alex Bell must be turning in his grave thinking "all that string and those empty tins of beans...for what?!" Poor guy.
What's your preferred way of communication? |

There and to the left a bit |
Firstly awesome song as are most things by TSC up to possibly the last album.
As for the question at hand - it depends, I speak to my Mum on my landline (remember them?!) most days, and if I need a quick answer to something will make a call but otherwise email, text, WhatsApp etc take preference |

I'm an antisocial sort so WhatsApp or kik are my preferred communication methods. Phone conversations make me feel anxious! I've never liked talking on the phone and will avoid it at all costs. Leaving phone messages is even worse and I tend to trip over my words, leaving an incoherent rambling. The only exception is talking to Tame, but even that's only a couple of times a week at the most. Usually we kik throughout the day. |
