We have a Kuga (2.0TDCi, AWD, 180ps, great cars, very capable off road if you go for an awd one too, although you lose out a bit on mpg over 2wd though..
The newer ones are available with a 1.5EcoBoost petrol engine too |

For slightly bigger you can’t go far wrong with a focus. Have had 3 over the last 15 years and not once have they failed to start on the key and have never cost more than a few hundred quid a year in maintenance.
Currently the 1.0 zetec ecoboost I have does over 45mpg on the motorway if you’re calm and it’s pretty comfy on the long runs, even for a tall bloke like me. |

"
Got one as my company cay and they are cheap and nasty.
Spend a bit more on something else. Also the problems that they have had with the new model diesel should be enough to stop you buying. "
What car do you mean... |

Avoid vauxhall, theyre terrible.
Look at ford, toyota, honda, kia
We saw more vauxhall, seat, skoda,vw,audi engines in for remanufacture than any other brand |

Just bought the Ateca FR 4 drive and I'm loving it. 2.0 TDI and so far in the last 2 weeks getting 54mpg. Bit bigger than a corsa but it has all the toys and you soon get used to it. |

I had the Corsa SXi, was wrote off 6 weeks after I bought it, by someone who didnt see fit to stop at the roundabout!
Just bought a 1.6 Astra and I love it. Bigger than the Corsa, heavier on the steering, but I prefer that. Breaks better, and so far quite economical. |
