ordered mine. It's had plenty of airplay on the radio so I've heard all the tracks.
I'll reserve judgement on how good it is though
I loved the two "Sessions" albums |

As a HUGE follower of Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band since the River tour in 1981, I have seen them play live on every subsequent tour, even at the Giants Stadium, New Jersey, but have to say having listened to all the tracks on the new Wrecking Ball album, relased tomorrow, will not be buying it as apart from the opening track 'We take Care of our Own' I think its dire.
I remember buying the last album 'Working on a Dream', playing it twice then selling it on E-Bay. In fact during the tour to promote that album, the Boss only usually played 2 tracks off it per show.
This new album should not have had the E Street Band associated with it as it barely resembles any of their natural sound which so illuminates many previous albums.
The only other track worthy of inclusion is 'Land of Hope & Dreams' which has been a regular song played in their live shows since the reunion tour some 13 years ago and therefore cannot understand why it has been included on this supposed new album.
So overall, for me, another disappointment since we were led to believe this was going to be a rock album.
Luckily, he will make up for it during his forthcoming North American & European Tour this summer! |
