Have you ever met someone outside your preferences

And if so, would you consider meeting someone outside of your preferences again?
The reason I'm asking is because majority of the people I've met, I was outside their preferences, I also get winks from people who judging by their profiles should never wink me.
P.S. don't use this thread as a platform to bypass filters  |

I play in clubs only and yes many times I've played outside of my preference. Be it age or race. It's different when your in clubs as it's based purely on the connection at the time.
I don't meet privately or anyone from here so no on that side of things. |

It depends on the preference - some are set in stone and I wouldn't step outside of them, others are a little more flexible, for example age preferences whilst I have an age range set that relates to the type of person I would normally get on with and be able to relate to, if I got chatting to someone outside of that and we connected then the age of the person would become immaterial. |

Yep. A few times.
My age limits were 25-40 when I met my OH, he was 45...almost 4 years later he is still hot as fuck and my upper age limit is 50.
They're more vague guidelines really based on experience. For me anyway...  |

Our preferences are only a guide. We'd rather not pin down an exact age after which we wouldn't meet but that's just how things work. We'll happily step outside our stated preferences if there's chemistry there. |

I have and have been, they're only preferences after all. If there's a spark there I'm not going to ignore that because they're either five years older or five inches taller than what I would normally go for, that's just silly. |

I'm guilty of that mentality, with 6ft+ ONLY statement, I've seen that mostnof the guys she met were under 6'. I didn't message her, but I did hotlist her |
