According to legend, kissing the stone endows the kisser with the gift of the gab (great eloquence or skill at clever, flattering, or coaxing talk.
The stone was set into a tower of the castle in 1446. The castle is a popular tourist site in Ireland, attracting visitors from all over the world to kiss the stone
its a block of bluestone built into the battlements of Blarney Castle .
I think some on fab have been there , lol as found one or two full of blarney .  |

Went up to kiss it, but when I got to the top found you had to basically hang upside down and a little bit off the ledge at the top of the castle, so I just blew it a kiss instead  |

There is an olde guy there to help you lean back and help if anyone needs it. The Castle is in lovely grounds, makes for a nice way to spend an afternoon.
I never needed any help with the chat but kissing the Blarney Stone was fun  |

I've kissed the stone - and I liked it
Even the bending backwards part was quite interesting 
As previously said, the grounds of the castle is just gorgeous. I loved the wishes steps. I tried to come up with a wish for each single step, but ran out of them! I think you're meant to just wish for one thing 
The whole area of West Cork is really beautiful, so well worth a trip. Kinsale is a very pretty harbour town with the best seafood to be had. And then drive along the coast up towards Kerry. Now let's just hope for some good weather |
