Alternative Uses for normal household items?

Have you ever found a solution to a problem using a household item for an alternative use.........? (or not even a problem used it for something else that worked well?)
My problem was how to put cream on your back when living alone........... found a solution, a radiator duster, can even take the duster bit off and wash it to re-use lol!!
