"Oh dear, SA just put a spanner in the works ...
No Eng v Aus final "
I really didn't want England v India in the semis, on a work day.
If, if, if, England v India could happen next Sunday, it would be the most eagerly anticipated day of sport in this country since Super Saturday in the London Olympics. I've got a day out in the planning, bring it on. |

"Do you reckon that would be bigger than England v Australia ? .. "
It's more of a personal thing to be honest. I have a lot of Indian friends and if it happens, we'll have a proper day out next week.
I don't know any Australian people, I'm lucky like that. |

Yessss completely out ccricketed Strayer.
I detest Smith and Warner, mostly because of their quality but more than that. This is Karma as Warner really is a prick.
One more game almost 10000 days since our last final.
Why the fuck am I working Sunday, such a silly error |

Same here with India .. It's devalued the final a bit.

"Come on Eoin and the Boys! Bring it home!"
As a Welshman I've never experienced what a 'World Cup' morning feels like.
It's like Christmas Day, I've been up since 6am.
Club cricket is dying and I hope today we can turn that around a bit and of course, WIN the WC. |

I’m so excited, I’m like a cat on a hot tin roof. If we play to our strengths and don’t get overawed by the occasion then I think we will win. |

So many ifs and buts.
I'm kinda glad/gutted I'm in work until 4pm. Hope it gets delayed by a few hours selfish I know.
I hope it's an amazing game and England win but I will snap your hand off for a shot game and England win at a canter making it an anti climax.

Just back from an amazing day at Lord's... What a match. The best game of cricket I have ever witnessed live ...
I did say ...
'It's coming home'
'Crikkets coming home'
Took a while to warm up but what a finish to this incredible match
And the new |

Possibly the greatest game of cricket there’s ever been, I tried my best not to watch any of it or see any scores while I was out at a family lunch only to have it in a tv next to our table in the pub haha |

Oh right, so your the reason we won well done.
You imagine if every other game was like that, people would want a bit of cricket all three time. |

The 4 byes that came off the overthrow. Could you imagine that. Thought it was all over in that last over before the super over ...
Woohooo...
England world champions at last at a proper round ball game

It was gone. My heart had sunk, my face dropped and my voice broken.
But that happened.
Trent Bolt stepping on the boundary - that also happened. Watch it again, he should of been an inch in from the rope but instead he stepped forward, then back. I'd rather people spoke about the deflection than that though.
Jason Roy misfield, Archer bowling a wide, then going into row H.
An incredible turn of events, not even the wackiest of minds could of thought that up.

That 6 in the super over by Neesham, It was nearly over again...
I think I need to get the highlights again. So many different moments. The atmosphere was amazing.
Grown men crying with that last run out ... |

It was the perfect throw by Stokes on the very last ball. I think it was Stokes, well almost perfect.
He was out on his knees in the final part of the game. Somehow found the strength etc to run a 3 then, if I am correct, when it mattered again, to launch the ball in for the run out.
That'll be taken for granted. |

Think you'll find it was Jason Roy (shirt no 20). Stokes wears no 55 |

It was Roy with the throw for the run out ...
I thought Roy would make the runs on his own. Never expected such a close finish ..
Thinking about it again.
What a game of cricket !!!
NZ must feel sick |
