I remember a girl kissing my neck and biting my earlobes in a nightclub years ago and saying "I'm taking you home and I'm going to ride you like Seabiscuit you sexy bastard" in my ear, I took that as a good compliment!

I'm not great at receiving compliments, never quite sure if they are real or not, especially on fab, and usually just make light of them with a jokey response, or mumble something incoherent in reply.

Is it strange how often we remember the negative stuff so much more easily that others may say about us?

Like the lacerating description of me as "a nothing".....

Who knows, maybe they were right.
