On a hot summers day I once drank bleach by mistake, took 3 good gulps too :-/
It's not a pleasant experience,
I couldn't see or breathe for the fumes,
It took a few layers of skin off my. Tongue and gums burned my throat and made one he'll of a mess of my stomach.
Every time I smell the stuff I Purse my lips
And to add insult to injury my teeth didn't look any whiter lol |

The smell of bleach always reminds me of my nan, she always cleaned everything with it. Worst was when she used to bleach mugs... you could always get a tang of it in your tea! |

Well Abbie I feel silly explaining but here goes...
I just moved into my new house and my sister bought me a big vase with those wooden flower type things in. Some were a nuteral colur ant the second set she bought was different colours.
So rather than throw them away she suggested trying to bleach them.
So that weekend on a hot summers day I got a pint glass and filled it with bleach and a little water.
Whilst waiting I got another pint glass and poured my self a beer.
Took the wooden flowers out some hours later
And put them in the sink to rinse.
I picked up my glass of what I thought was beer
And 3 big gulps later realised my mistake.

This is a public service announcement!
If you smell chlorine at a swimming pool, the chemical balance is out and treatment is needed. The alkali and acid treatments used in pools correctly, means the smell should be neutralised...
But I love the smell of bleach! I use it to clean the sink and draining board and bathroom, but not work surfaces as todays bleach tends to have properties that make sure it stays for a while. If you spill anything on it, it may reactivate the bleach! Can ruin your clothes! |
