I'm a fan of proper mash taters.

Butter, single cream, salt, pepper, even a little nutmeg on top after.

And lumpy enough so that you know it was made from real potatoes.

How lumpy do you like it!?

I appreciate your choice though, and respect your lumpy desires, but I much prefer creamy almost whipped!

I don't like mashed potato I find it boring and usually stop eating it after a couple of mouthfuls. The way you serve it does sound like it might be better than your average mash though .

I think I was scarred by living on digs as a student where the landlady served instant mash with everything

Not lumpy at all. Heat up your butter and some whole milk with time in it and then mix that shit into your mash, that's my recipe anyway

This one time we went to Toby Carvery and they were serving GARLIC mashed potato. OMG. It was heaven.
