"Not exactly swinging related, but I have a story and looking to sell it to the press. I reckon it's good for nationals. Has anyone experience in doing this ? "

If your story has the potential to damage lives, cause hurt for those involved then leave well alone. Is the money worth inflicting misery?
I stopped buying red top papers years ago, after the Milly Dowler phone hacking, nothing credible is ever reported, and the means to get news nefarious.

If it's significant at all, from what I've heard the other papers will turn on you and drag your name through the mud as a response to you not selling it to them. I have heard stories of great regret getting involved with the papers. |

Unless it involves somebody high profile you’d be surprised how little they pay these days. I was chatting to the guy who filmed and photographed the sas going into the Manchester bombers house and he had photos of other family members being led out of the house. Big news, good pics. How much did he get? £700 which he donated to the bombing appeal. I saw proof of that on his phone.
I was also chatting to the journalists at scene, they said there’s very little money in it these days as the papers can just pinch photos from public social media accounts. |

If it’s about yourself OP, then knock yourself out. If it’s about anyone else then I’d say absolutely no. No matter what you think of him, the fact that Boris has a heated argument with his GF is no one else’s business and the neighbour who sold his tape ( he actually had the wherewithal to tape it!!) should be ostracised and never spoken to again by the rest of humanity, ever. |
