a filling....that has now worked loose.....my own dentist is a 14 and a half hour boat trip and then an hours drive away...so am resigned to having to see one up here on MY island......am actually terrified 
I have an irrational fear of dentists....and have stuck with my chappie on the mainland mainly because he has made me feel calm in his surgery and I have stopped blacking out as soon as i walk through his door.
Am wondering whether i should just wait until I get back to the mainland in the summer before I do anything about my discomfort....or whether I should gird up my loins, man up a bit and walk into a surgery here and just hope they have soft carpet??? |

weird i did a post yesterday on dentist s , lol You should go sort it out ... I had my teeth de- scaled yesterday was drill each tooth and into the gums ... I was so woried but ... i know my teeth look better and white so been worth it .. like you i hate it but i hate not having nice smile . Drill and things in my mouth and water ... she had to keep stoping i told her i am not good with it all ... maybe you should tell her or him your not that good with dentists .. theres alot like us around .. comes from i think when we was kids and things hurt . lol xx  |

You must have a few vets up there too, get one of them to shoot ya with a tranquiliser gun then pull ya molar out. Run around a field naked while he takes aim and you can indulge in a little fantasy roleplay at the same time. Sorted.  |

You can buy DIY temp filling kits... may be mail order it to somewhere you can pick it up from. Not a long term solution but may be something to hold you out long enough until you can see your own fella. |

I wouldn't leave it if i were you if its a fairly deep filling then decay can get in and cause problems with the root of the tooth.
As Polo said you can use a temporary filling kit but having used one on holiday i couldnt wait to get it sorted. The whole thing taste of cloves 24/7 in your mouth it was horrible and didnt last long before i had to refill after it came out eating.
