i have been watching 'obese: year to save my life' tonight and saw a 21st woman do a triathalon....made me feel like a lazy cow so i decided to go for a walk....at 9pm

downladed an app called C25K which trains you up from doing nothing to runing 5k over a series of weeks

did .76 miles in 19mins lol but at least i did something. just need to keep it up now as have registered to do race 4 life in June

little house on the praire

when i started my diet, i used to take my pedometre and it took me 55 minutes to do just over two miles. Dont know how long it takes me now as i broke it, think i will buy another this week and see

i dont have a dog lol but if i do it in the day i might nick my sisters lol

not sure if the distance thing is right as i was running in circles in the garden cos the vilage was too dark

Sure you can do it I walk up to ten miles a day now. Just pace yourself and keep your fluids up. Well done

not running the whole time, 5 min brisk walk warm up then 8 sets of 1 min run 1 min walk then a 5 mn cool down

good for you... so the olympic trials are in june and its starts at the end of july... will you make the qualifying time and should i put me fiver on....

seriously though.. good for you.. you have to promise me one thing.. you have to not get beat by the person in the fancy dress ostrich suit.. i hate them things!!!

the plan at the moment is to get me to enjoy exercise lol

its kind of why i am banging on about it to anyone who will listen and you lot are a captive audience

i have never enjoyed exercise, i actually nearly pushed an ex into the road when we went on a bike ride once

Your doing great! A slow and steady progression is what should be done. My ex boxing instructor and my current one has told me as long as you can do 30 mins of fast walking or slow jogging to build up your stamina till you can do a crazy run. This is what I do 5 days a week. Good luck and you are doing great xx
