Hello. I have written in my profile 'i prefer the bbw lady's', I was going to write 'i prefer fat women'.
Don't want to cause offense to anyone, but I'm consciousness that I would, if I used the word 'fat'. I know it's just a word, but some people may find it offensive.
But I do see women put 'I'm fat' on there profiles, where as some women write 'im a bbw'.
What is people's opinions on this. (Hope this post doesn't cause offence). |

"I'm fat. Some people find it offensive but it's all to do with context. "
I genuinely do prefer the bbw lady. But like I say, I don't want to cause any offense. |

The rules of fab dictate that someone will be offended by something you say, no matter how innocuous. Don't worry about offending some. Say what you want to say, if someone likes you, they'll let you know. |

I personally think the BBW term comes accross better. But alot don't like labels as such so either way someone will get offended lol.
I am fat but if a guy said Id like your fat I wouldn't be impressed and he wouldn't get any further so I'm voting for bbw. |

I’m fat; I’m not a huge fan of BBW as it kinda makes me feel fetished as if my size/shape/volume is the only thing I’ve got going for me. However, everyone is entitled to their own affiliation with whatever descriptors they like.
Thing is, I’m less likely to be engaged by anyone actually specifying a body size as a preference as I find it all rather one dimensional ( ). I’m me, unique and more complex than my fatness and I’m seeking people that click with that rather than the need to filter preferences/shop more easily.
That’s no condemnation of anyone that does though, just this is my approach.
If you feel the need to write your preference then just write as suits you, not as suits others. It’s your profile to find the people that you click with.
Good luck and really hope you enjoy the site. |

To be fair others will be offended by BBW (Personally I'm not a huge of the lable).
At the end of the day we are, who we are. Use the labels you want to use as long as you happy in your self and with the labels you use. Anyway I really don't see what's so negative about being larger? It doesn't mean your any less valid as a human or any less sexy. When it comes to attraction it's very subjective anyway. |

I’m a large lady who doesn't particularly like the BBW acronym, other ladies prefer it so unfortunately you can’t please everyone, just use words that you find the most acceptable and use that on your profile |

"What about I like woman of a curvier larger figure? Or I like woman size 18± for example? "
I was just about to write this! Fat is seen as offensive to some, even to those that use it about themselves but as Estella said BBW seems to fetishize things, like you like them purely because of that. |

O.P. It's YOUR profile. It's better t to say that you are looking for fat women than end up with someone who thinks she's a BBW and then you finally confess that you like FAT women.
To me BBW's are big but firmish cos they are meant to be big ..... others are FAT.
End of. |

"I'm fat however not a bbw, I'm not fat enough or beautiful.
I can say I'm fat but wouldn't want anyone else to say it to me. "
I think you look great. I don't bullshit and I think you should love yourself more...... you look very attractive. |

I think we correlate the word fat with a negative as opposed to a descriptive
It is often used to cause offence or upset
BBW is a very general 'polite' term in my opinion
You should be able to get across what you like without causing offence to those it excludes and without excluding those that you seek to attract
Wording is everything |

Exactly the word fat is often used as insult. You never hear "shes a large stupid cow" for example.
That's why I streer clear of calling/describing my myself or anyone else as fat.
So my advice to the OP is larger, 18+ would make it clear what you’re looking for and not have such negative connotations. |

Thank you all for your thoughts. U did take the bbw line out. Go from there and see what happens. Good to see ladies and men be honest and open about themselves. Happy fabbing people. |

Its personal preference. I'm not a fan of the term BBW myself.
I state I'm a size 20 and have lumpy bits that jiggle. I describe myself as having a fuller figure mostly. |
