If you start a thread and it happens to need or warrant a second iteration, does it bother you if someone starts it before you?
Is this one of those 'unwritten rules' of the forums or is any thread fair game?

There’s folk think they own threads, it’s usually the really shit repetitive ones.
I actually snorted loudly whilst sat in my office a few days ago upon reading two such folk squabbling over who started one!
After that I wiped my bum and went to work.

I jokingly started a BBW chat number 500 of similar when it was sat around the 30-40 mark.
I was torn apart by the regulars, earned bans, received hate mail, called all the names under the sun.
It's now into the #1000's I do believe, all I was doing was predicting the future.

If its something that everyone is loving "In the moment" Like P's thread on Voices not long ago. Then I think it's a bit unfair to have to wait till she gets back from work before we can carry on playing.
The second you press send it's in a public domain and no longer your creative property. A thread is more than one person, it's a forum full of people and they've a right to speak.
I think any regular user knows who the more creative, prolific or thoughtful posters among us are.
If it bugs you, try and remember that "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Let it go.. |

I remember you doing that.
It was quite a savage response for a relatively innocuous jest. |
