I’d like to hear peoples opinions on filming sex.
With the advent of smart phones it sometimes feels like everyone wants to be a star of their own show. Ive seen other folks vids and yes its more natural than porn but I wonder about that persons right to privacy during an intimate act. if that person is your partner/regular why film it. Trust is a big aspect no doubt.
Why film sex sessions?
Who does the footage belong to?
What defines ‘personal use’?
What did folk do before smart phones?
(The Disclaimer: i cast no judgement on those who like to film or be filmed. My personal opinion is i feel the concept violates my privacy during an intimate act. We all have sex, yes, but there doesn't need to be recorded evidence not of me doing it anyway. I allowed it to happen once and I still shudder at the thought of it existing

I'd never whip out my camera on unsuspecting people.Also be shown any pics/footage.
nobody should really have their phone on them-mine is utter shite too. |

it is a matter of knowing what you are getting into. What annoys me is the couples who invite you over only to start pulling out cam without mentioning it before the meeting. |

I don't see why people shouldn't film their sexy exploits, as long as EVERYONE involved has consented. As for ownership, I guess whoever films it, owns it! |

We've never permitted pics or video at any of our meets. Most people had no problem with this. As to your questions:
Why film sex sessions?
Lots of people get a kick out of recording meets
Who does the footage belong to?
This can be complicated, but unless there's a contract in place, copyright usually belongs to the person doing the photography (assuming they own the device)
What defines ‘personal use’?
Never trust anyone using this term - it could mean anything.
What did folk do before smart phones?

It’s an essential part of meets that I (Mr) am not at. It’s made explicitly clear early in a conversation with any prospective meets. Vids are made on Mrs’ phone and sent to me during meet. This allows me to see she’s safe and happy and is also a huge part of our post-meet fun - love looking back at them and discussing and playing. We send any vids back that don’t show Mrs’ face and this system has worked well for us and our meets to date. The key, as I said at the start, is early transparency. |

The footage / pics, by law, the copyright of the person filming/photographing.
However, this doesn't mean they can do whatever they wish with said footage/pics - if they are used or distributed for commercial gain then a model release form would need to be obtained.
Released without knowledge or consent would probably come under the revenge porn law.
Copyright law and rights useage can be a real minefield, even big multi-nationals have fallen foul a few times. |

copywright law states that any stills or video belong to the person operating the camera unless a signed waiver or disclaimer is produced .when i shoot with models no matter what the style of shoot paid or tfp they sign a model release form that they are required to read and sign stating what where and when any photos or video may be used for if there is anything they do not agree with they strike it out and initialise before any pics are tsken |
