Do the North Run in September and raise some money for a breast cancer related charity.

That's what I'm doing

I feel it's always better to raise money for the charities themselves rather than for an individual....but that's just me.

little house on the praire

Im part of a local breast cancer charity group. I dont take part in the physical things (as yet).

But some of the things we do are

Dinners, get a restaurant to give us a good deal on group bookings and a large discount charge people per head and then hold raffle ect as well.

Parties such as jewelery parties, candle parties ect, charge a small fee for a glass of wine and a cake or something and get the person whose doing the party to give you commision.

Mini marathons and also part of the national breast cancer charity fund raising like the moon walk, only thing is if you do national charity stuff it wont necessarily go local.

My friend is doing a big breakfast competition next week, all entrants pay £12.50 and the first to eat it gets there money back.

In that case, get your local radio and paper involved and large local businesses. Its good publicity for them

Go for the triple win, and "Shag a Mushy."

There'll be people sponsoring you to be brave and go for it.

There'll be people, lots, paying and begging you not to.

And there'll be a few quirky folks paying you to relate the horror story.

Win,win,win.
