As someone who rarely even attempts to make appointments as the chances of me getting one are slim, normally takes me a good few days off calling as soon as the lines open in the morning to be told when I finally get through that there aren't any appointments left...

Yes, missed appointments cost the tax payer millions every year, or so says the warning in my Dr's surgery, it might be a rouse, but I believe it.
