Fake Paid Profiles
Jump to: Newest in thread
There's a user on here that claims to be 19 with images stolen from a twitter profile from 2013.it has been reported by several people yet because they have paid for gold membership they have been allowed to stay on. Surely someone needs to question how a genuine profile can upload images from a 6 year old twitter account if she's only 19, that would make her 13 in the images
People often say on here get rid of the free accounts yet some of the paid subscribers are as fake |

I'm assuming op has reversed searched the images...which is surprisingly easier than I thought it would be |

Let's face it the site is chocca block with fake profiles and ones that appear and disappear within an hour. I never bother with a profile unless its been up at least 2 days |

Yes reverse image search, same thing I do for any profile that messages me, to be honest it flagged because she sent me a message within 2 hours of joining site which is quite unusual in its self.
I just think with all the comments I read about getting rid of free profiles to out fakes, being a paid member is no more of a reassurance to the validity of a user. |

"How do you know they’re allowed to stay because of being gold ?"
Because I know atleast 3 people have reported the profile and its still active only conclusion I can make is because its paid or it would have been gone within the hour. |

You need definite proof. Link the twitter profile that the photos have been taken from when you’re reporting. |

And I doubt it’s because they’re paying. It takes a while for admin to get round to reports |

A single woman messaging men within hours of joining sounds incredibly suspicious in itself |

Being a paid member makes no difference to whether admin take action or not.
It can take 48 hours to action a report so patience is advised.
My next post will give details from another thread on how admin deal with reports then I'll close this thread |

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.
******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).
Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.
Admin
PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.
Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:
--
Your feedback has been saved.
A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.
By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.****** |
