Why don't you talk to people with crap profiles? If you meet someone in real life they don't hand you a list of likes & dislikes. You talk to them and find out for yourself.
Are people who won't talk to crap profiles, just really lazy and can't interact with other human beings?  |

There is a whole discourse based around crap profiles..or profiles with little or no information given..
The mindset of their owner is often to get the conversation going by asking questions whereas the person in receipt of the messages just thinks hes made no effort so i wont either...
Thats my mindset too |

Its often said (mainly to single guys) with so much choice what makes you different ,.. I use the same thought process if I don't know... I'll find someone who has informed me and created the intdrest |

Maybe those with the crap profiles like to keep an air of mystery about themselves to keep people guessing

Because the context and medium matters. You work with what you've got, and when someone is selecting you, they don't say "this person could be heaps of fun down the pub", they say "based on the evidence presented, I don't see evidence that this fits the criteria". |

There's a difference between crap & awful
Personally I wouldn't send a message to anyone who had either.
Crap, because if someone can't be bothered to spend a bit of time & effort on themselves, I'd consider they'd be the same in the way they treated others, me.
Awful, well because seeing 20 other women's fannies, faces, tits dripping cum, really doesn't inspire me to think this person respects women.
I have replied to messages from people with crap profiles, as their message had something about it.
An awful profile would just get deleted & probably blocked, no matter what they wrote. |

We can say what we want here
Whether the words are a true reflection of the person behind them is something else
It's why I ask in my own profile that those that message me are just themselves
I don't want to meet a persona, I want to meet a person
This is not fantasy for me, it is an attempt to meet decent people, some of whom I might shag
Interaction remains more important than a first judgement
We can't all be wordsmiths, we can't all be amateur photographers, but we can de half decent
The only killer, for me, is if they go right in with the sex
1st message : Hi M8, how are you?
1st response : I'm good, how's yourself?
2nd message : Horny

Lack of effort with a profile would suggest a lack of effort with anything else too to me and when you have limited opportunity to meet, as I do, the key is finding people that are a likely match and appear to have similar interests etc to me - now personally most of my interaction is off the back of forum threads so the profile does take on less importance with those people.
Certainly don't think it suggests people are lazy and can't interact with others just because they look for some detail and indication of effort though - there's a world of difference between interacting here and down the pub, and having some information to work on is key.
In fact thinking about it meeting someone in a pub, if they don't give you a great deal of information about themselves, you soon lose interest, so actually the principle is still similar. |
