With the remake out, I thought I'd ask any who have seen it, what did you think of it?

Is it recommendable or would you stick with the original?

southend

I can't bring myself to watch it. I will at some point, but Chucky is my horror hero, and I just can't bare to see him be destroyed by 21st century horror.

Same here, the story will be spoiled I think.

I will have to agree as there are some things I don't like about the remake.

1. 21st centuries horror movies always tend to have predictable pointless jumpscares so it wouldn't be surprising if they are present in this movie.

2. Having Chucky as a robotic AI instead of a doll possessed by a serial killer does take the supernatural aspect out of the character.

On a mooch

I couldn’t watch the original so definitely won’t be watching the remake.

Anything with dolls freaks me out, didn’t even have them as a kid

Yeah. Despite the remake's pros and cons, it will never beat the original.

There are some good movies like IT from two years back which was a great new adaptation of the Stephen King novel but for many horror remakes, they'll never beat the originals.
