Genghis - I love that voice, it’s quite velvety and soothing and I love Xanadu and your ascottish accent impression isn’t bad either

Nell - Ooh you could whisper sweet nothings to me all day with that voice and the Doggies piece did make me giggle.

Holly - Oh I love the gruffness in your voice. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Welsh accents amongst others, yours is lovely.

Estella - I loved your Jazz Fam send up last time but that was beautiful. I could listen to your voice continually. The kind of voice that would send me off into sweet dreams. Loved the poem too

Queen Leviosa - Oh I love a Scottish accent too and that really made me laugh

Chillout- Bloody hell what a voice, California Dreamin’ You could charm the knickers off a nun with it.

g3orgie - I think we’ve go a mutual voice appreciation thing going on here. You could read Roald Dahl to me all day

Saff - your voice is the first one to surprise me. It shouldn’t knowing your from the Manchester area but it did sound different to the way I imagined. I’ll hear your posts in that voice now rather than my imagined one. Loved the dog snoring too.

Lorna - you have a lovely voice I can here that hint of. your accent but I’m not knowledgeable enough to place it. Somewhere in the South East would be my guess...south of the Thames

Meli - loving your posh, refined accent and lovely timbre to your voice. I’m not going to say anything about the self deprecation though

Miss V - Ok I’m seduced - what now? Sexy voice or what and the video worked magically with it hmmm

Ace - I remember that one from last time, still loving the blue goatee though

Atlas - you have a great tone to your voice it really resonates

Hatter - I really liked your accent and it was a great poem. What is the accent? And what was the poem?

PB - Your voice and accent along with a food porn programme would get top ratings on a TV show

and as for you TT what can I say. You just have me in stitches, your voice is so you. I’d forgotten how good the Ode was, but the video did make me chortle

You need to set up a YouTube account or change the name on an existing one if you wish to maintain anonymity

Record a video using you tube - you can hide the webcam quite easily with a post it or something

You can also upload MP4 audio files if you prefer if you have a voice recording app.

And then copy a link from your video and post it on the thread

No it wasn’t simply the accent I think I was kind of expecting that. I just expected the voice to sound different. It was stronger, fuller and with a different type of quality than I was expecting. It’s just funny how we build up an image.

Record a video using you tube - you can hide the webcam quite easily with a post it or something

You can also upload MP4 audio files if you prefer if you have a voice recording app.

Thankyou. Isn't it funny how we dislike our own? I put it down to the recording equipment and speakers. It's the same with selfies.

Add a few filters that can punch up the 3d effect of a face in person.. and you start to like the photo a bit more for it. If you're not great at taking photos and don't add filters.. you may start believing you're not as attractive as you thought you were when looking in a mirror.

I wonder if any of us heard our own voices recorded professionally, using decent equipment and speaking naturally.. whether we'd all start liking our own voices better.

Yes, I think there's probably a lot of weight to that idea. I think my speaking voice is rather irritating, too low and all manner of other negative things. When it was recorded for a training video I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as nasal and twattish as I once thought.

Ive not heard mine done on decent equipment, so I'm still in the "Hate my own voice camp" but I'm starting to believe people now when they say they like it.

And started happily receiving the compliments and responding in kind.
