foam tends to be caused by washing powder residue left in costumes and creams and lotions on peoples bodies.....dont wash costumes in the washing machines just swill in water...we have special hot tub only swimwear...and shower off in hot water only before you get in....then if foam is still an issue you can buy de-foamer from your supplier...but some of these are better than others...sometimes it may be you need a water change and start again...i must admit i always think its never very clean when it starts foaming!
have fun!!! |

foam in the water is caused by contaminants such as detergents (clue to this is the water appears slightly cloudy) we never normally have a foam problem but we do have defoamer that simply sprays on the foam and disperses it in seconds.
we do change our water at least once every three months though
one way of avoiding the detergent problem is to use the tub naked as we do
hope that helps |

U need to get some flocluent for the water. Tis makes the particles swell and therefore get stuck in the filters! It's mostly, sorry Ming factor coming, dead skin and oil from ur skin! Blergh
U can also get foam away which stops it being fluffy and u just get scum on the surface, for that u can get a scum ball which u rinse regularly!
Floc liquid is e best though!
HOpe this helps, had a hot tub and pool for years so well used to dealing with water clarity issues!
We only do a full water change once a season and just top it up and have no problems at all |

Thanks guys - have ordered some anti foam...still not convinced its detergent foam as the water is crystal clear and its not 'scuddy' foam! We always use it naked as well. (I have a very good poolboy! ). May just refill it if we can't get rid. |
