Nothing but praise and respect here. My children live in another country with their mom...and though I do my best to keep in touch regularly and see them as often as possible, I recognise it's not nearly enough

I think that it was, there were a number of different ones ran then for those who had lost mothers and those who's parents were the source of pain, not support.
Frankly, any parent doing the work of two deserves applause, it's hard enough for two people.
I will say though, that for some, that single parent role is through choice and some willfully cut the father out in spite, which is a different matter entirely.
