So ok Im well over forty with no regrets of what brought me here n now.. All the bad and good BUT looking back I wish I had done one of two things, professional dancer or archeologist.. But then I do both in my spare time.. What about you? What do you wish you d done or tried and do you do it now in a smaller way, as a hobby? |

I wish I'd studied for a degree years ago! I'm doing it now and loving the experience. It's challenging both intellectually and finding the time but oh so stimulating! |

I'm certainly not desperate, currently doing my degree and very happy with my life. Only regret is not continuing with professional dancing. Av xx |

Growing up we never had much money. Our neighbour was a seamstress and made our clothes. Our clothes looked shitty compared to the creations she made for her own children.
I'd design my own clothes with the view of making them when I was older. As part of my needlework exam I had to design a collection of children's clothes to be modelled on a catwalk. My youngest sister was my model.
I never followed it up as it wasn't a career option for a black girl from a council estate.
Now I'm semi retired I make baby clothes and knitwear. People pay a fortune for baby shit...the buggy I bought for my twin grandsons cost more than our car! |

I wish i had more time to spend on my artwork. I know i can't keep up with the relentless lifestyle i'm faced with now so it would hopefully be a small earner when i'm too old. Trouble is i need to build up a decent portfolio now. |

There are lots of things I wish I could have done when I was younger but everything in my past - good and bad has led me to be the person I am today
No point regretting anything just make your future the best you can |

Wish I'd taken sports/P.E. more seriously...there were moments in nearly every sport where i just blew everyone away with an unguided natural talent...but no one took me seriously (including myself) as I was the big academic kid...
As i finished school...I remember the head coach saying I wish you'd realised just how good you could have been. Which kind of annoys me and nags at me still. |

Totally agree, dont regret any of my crazy drifter style life, maybe regret in my original thread was wrong word.. More curiousity, just those moments when you re chilling and contemplating.. My life has and still is a crazy rollercoaster but thats who I am... So yeah totally agree with you |

I wish I had pursued my music more after University as I stopped playing in a band then and only restarted two years ago. Music was my first love, I should have done more with that passion. |

Music should be first love, tge world would be a better place.. Music and dance saved my life for in them I find pure heaven without stress, judgements, opinions.. They free the soul and put fire in the most saddened heart |

Yeah I hear what you are saying , it’s like having those moments dreaming about winning the lottery too - how different your life could be etc and would it change you
Life is most definitely as they say a rollercoaster |

I was very good at metal work and technical drawing at school but after mock exams in those days those subjects were taken away from the girls and I had to do boring typing and cooking. Wish I had carried on both subjects when I,left school now or photography |

I’m quite happy where I’ve ended up however I wish I pursued an opportunity to become a pilot. Now though I normally fly twice week and I’m my head I know exactly what’s going on up in the cockpit |

"I wad born on the day of the moon landing (conspiracy theorists can do one )
Angus I always wanted to be an astronaut
I have the qualifications, but my eyesight has let me down
You would have probably ended up landing on Mars instead of the Moon if you were the pilot then "
Call me Icarus, I flew too close to the sun |

Looking back I would have had a far more fulfilling career if I'd studied history or archaeology early on life instead of much more recently. However it is what it is and I'm happy with how my life has turned out. |
