Well I was supposed to have a meet with someone on Monday.

Never showed no message to say not coming or anything.

Hotel paid for and a no show.

I get some people don't reply to messages but not turning up after arranging a meet is not on.

Sadly it happens. Block them and report them

I'm afraid it's a thing that happens on here sometimes. I'm sympathetic, genuinely, but some people are like that.

Have you spoken to them since, asked them why? They may have had a family crisis or a crash en route.

When setting up the meet did you have a social first? I always have a social first and am pretty good at gauging whether or not they will meet again or want instant gratification.

They have been reported but what happens to them.

Is it just a slap on the wrist?

I think a court date will be set and they’ll be looking at at least 5 years, maybe 3 for good behaviour.

Why report them? Anything could’ve happened and surely people can change their minds?

I understand blocking them but not reporting them

You can report someone for arranging a meet and not turning up. Unless someone gave me a reason and an apology, I’d be reporting them

Nothing they can do, it's your word against theirs and they could just as easily say they went to the hotel and you didn't show.

Why not report them if they agree to meet in the first place.

They could have explained why later

Admin can look at messages when they're reported, I do know that.

Block, report if you think it's warranted (what happens who knows) and move on.

I’d be more upset if they had been on line and not offered any explanation. By not being on line may mean that something has happened and they couldn’t show.

No shows are so frustrating, it happens to most of us, especially if you’ve booked and paid for a hotel. But as I said earlier that’s why I always have a social first

Sorry this has happened to you, report and block. For future refence OP...

Top tips..

1. Don't take things off fab

2. Don't engage in wank chat

3. Don't swap endless pics

4. Don't travel ridiculous distances

5. Do pay a bit extra so you can cancel the hotel if needed

6. Do listen to your gut instinct, it's normally right

7. Do arrange a social in a public place before any sex

8. Do report any no show to admin

9. If a couple, speak to both halves.

10. Use common sense, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

All common sense, but then it's not common is it?

Had the same happen couple of times it really upsets the wife as she always puts effort into getting ready for a meet. She takes it personally when they don’t show and knocks her self confidence makes her think she’s unattractive.

Common decency how hard is it to let someone know if you can’t make an arranged meet.

"They have been reported but what happens to them.

Fab don't say specifically what they will do with each incident but they also don't want people here who will ruin it for others. They have a range of measures, ultimately with exclusion from the site permanently.

As long as we each submit the full information to admin, they always investigate and take the steps they feel are appropriate and multiple problems by the same people, alongside the info via their profile, obviously helps admin to take better action.

You did the right thing by reporting and the only way to potentially save money is via fully flexible bookings you can cancel for free until that afternoon. Aim to insist on pre-confirmation communication

"How can they exclude someone permanently, just create another profile cant they?"

Then block profiles without avatars and newbies from messaging along with using other filters. That should help.
