Going on from the thread about being offered for money for sex on FAB it got me thinking what is the impact of prostitution on the scene? Someone pointed out that there are prostitutes on using Fab to gain buisness. Also I know know the are clubs that say they are swingers clubs but have regular 'hostesses'. From what I can gather looking into it is these places hostesses provide sexual services/incentives for single guys who pay (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm not against sex workers or prostitution per se. But is it problematic when hiding it's self under the umbrella of the swinging scene?
Does it give people the wrong idea or expectations of what the swinging scene is?
Does it attract the wrong sort of characters into the scene?
Does it perpetuate harmful attitudes towards women as commodities and objects on the scene?
Does it put women on the scene at risk?
Does it also endanger our reputation and futher add ammunition to thoes who apose what we do? |
