...the type of thread in which there are several replies but none of them answer the OP's opening gambit in the way the OP intended. They just take the mick instead.
For example, there is a current thread in which the OP asks people what their favourite stories are. None of the replies are what he wanted but there are some amusing comments.
This type of thread keeps cropping up some of them are really funny so I think they deserve a category name. Any suggestions? |

The story so far...
I asked for a name for the type of thread in which nobody replies to the OP's point and take the piss instead.
The result has been that nobody (except one) is responding to my message and is just taking the piss instead.
Unfortunately the bit they have missed is that they are supposed to make jokes that relate to the original post. So far they have made as much sense as Reeves and Mortimer.
But I do see where they are coming from and I guess I asked for it. Still, I'm having them all killed later. |
