Not looking like the photo
Jump to: Newest in thread
Now we're not rude people, if a guy messages us and sends a face pic with a nice message we will reply even if they're not for us.
It's just polite I guess.
Lately though if I turn a guy down for X reason he will tell us that no, the photo just isn't accurate.
If that photo isn't accurate then why are you sending it? It's dishonest and now I definitely don't want to meet.
I know everyone likes to send their best photos but if it's a different body shape or looks a different age then DON'T USE IT!
OK... Rant over |

I feel for ppl on here sometimes, when you're their twentieth rejection that morning it's understandable that they'll be burrhurt and try to argue, but it's not gonna do anyone any favours to engage in that..... .....delete/block and move on, but don't stress because that's perpetuating the kind of emotion you've just experienced from Mr Butthurt....

It's okay to look your best in pics but what I'm talking about is turning down guys because they're muscular and immediately they tell me they don't look like that anymore.
I'm pretty sure people would be pissed off if they seen my slim body in pics and I showed up being a size 18.
We all have our preference but nobody likes a liar. |

This is were up to date verifications are handy, I always find you get a better picture of someone than the photos that are posted.
As for me, what you see is what you get and I think my verifications confirm this xx |

Ive had this same thing too, completely different skin colour and much smaller in real life than he stated on his profile height wise. Daft thing is it wouldn't have bothered me it was the deception that did x |

I try and remember that they've probably been rejected a lot of times. Even the strongest person would have their confidence knocked by that.
It's certainly not an excuse for rudeness so I often tell them that. Sometimes they apologise and explain they just don't feel human anymore because of all the rejection. |

I don't have an issue with filters, I use them myself as think they improve the look of most pictures. I draw the line at using them to disguise anything about me or change how I look as I would be gutted if someone was disappointed I didn't look like my pics when they met me. |

I see people on here and normal dating sites with photos from years ago and to be fair even 6 months ago.
Now I know that my weight can go up and down a lot in 6 months. Last year I dropped from a tight 34 waist to... A very tight 30 ( ok I'd have got in a 31, but you try finding that size )
Now within 6 months I'm back in 34" with a dad bod again.
We all try putting our best photos online, but some certainly don't show the lumps and bumps we all have. I've met up with people and been shocked how they don't look at all like their photos ( some good, some bad )
Maybe it's an idea to have a video chat before meeting up? |

Best policy is to actually look like your pics and send recent ones on request...especially if there have been some changes from older ones. No one likes fake advertising. |

"I don't look good in pics
We've just seen your profile.. you definitely do
That's because you can't see my face "
You're welcome to try and prove is wrong, but the photos you do have up are lovely. |

I'm the same, I like crayons and paints, so I'm going to be drawn to dip my pics in a bit of colour. I'd never use them to pull in or out parts of my body. It clearly states on my profile my dress sizes, granted the majority do struggle with words. I can only allow for so much, beyond that I'm me in or out of my pictures. |

Absolutely. I update my pictures regularly, and delete the old ones, for that very reason. |

Before I meet someone I always ask for a face pic then follow up with a cheeky “will I recognise you when I walk in”
I’ve been lucky pics are true to the person, no point hiding who you really are to anyone you plan meeting |

Me too. My ones last year were much better. But misleading as I’ve put weight on so I changed them all. |

I (mr) am a Graphic Designer. When ever we get pics sent I study them.
Checking if they have been edited in anyway (and if you know what you are looking for you can tell) but most importantly - usually when we get the out of the blue message from a woman - reverse image search.
If I am not sure I ask for others, or a love verification. Normally always s out the fakers. |
