No I don't agree.
For me being good is being kind, compassionate, empathic and basically treating others how you wish to be treated...who the fuck are you to be an arse hole to others if you don't want that returned to you....
In essence Im a good person but if you fuck with me I ll go warrior on your arse

I'll stick with trying to be a good person, maybe that way the luck will come in it's own time.
I'm rather wondering why OP you seem to think you cant just be both...
