Had been binge watching many episodes of this classic programme on YouTube in the past couple of days. It's always funny seeing angry passengers acting like tantrumming 5 year old for being late for their flights and not getting their own way.

Who else remembers this brilliant piece of programming?

To whoever has ever watched Airline, what did you think of all the passengers that blamed the staff for stuff that isn't their fault?

I think there were a few airline type shows. Not sure which one it was.

I don't like watching rude people. It's bad enough seeing it in real life.

Behind the scenes info is good though. I'm scared of flying.

I know that feeling. There are a couple of episodes of Airline I refuse to watch because the people on those episodes piss me off so much lol.

I remember seeing a couple of people in separate episodes who were scared of flying. One managed to get on the plane and was reassured by many people that she'll be ok whereas the other person was not able to overcome her fear despite the therapy.

I think they did a flight for people with a phobia of flying. The captain explained turbulence as the same as when you are driving and you hit a pothole. I thought it was quite a good analogy. I love flying.

One of my besties was in one of these programmes

It was called Holiday Airline and it followed Monarch, who he worked for at the time

People still stop him in the street now and it was like 15-20 years ago

Yeah. The first series was with Britainia Airways in Manchester Airport and the rest of the series were with Easyjet.

I always felt sorry for the staff as all the angry passengers are so entitled, rude and downright smug at times. If they're late, they blame the staff and if the flight is either delayed or cancelled due to bad weather, air traffic control going down or a technical fault, they still blame the staff.

Yes that's the problem with being in the frontline, as you know yourself. They also filmed out of Luton airport and we saw Jane, who was a supervisor, there one year

Awesome. I remember this one episode where a passenger was late and she wasn't allowed to fly so she sarcastically said she had a bomb in her bag and because of that she got blacklisted and arrested by the police.

It's not great in these times of terrorism, people should know better than to joke about bombs and should be severely dealt with.

Exactly. A lot of people died on that day and all them customers cared about was their stupid flights. They should be ashamed of themselves.

There is one episode of Airline I refuse to watch which has this smug upper class couple who try to check in with a damaged passport.

What's shocking is when they are told by a supervisor that Easyjet would get fined for allowing them to fly with a damaged passport, they said they'll pay the fine.

What really pissed me off was when the husband called the supervisor a "worker ant". If there is one thing I hate is people like them who think they're better than anyone else.

I swear, I wanted to punch them in the face and then rip up their passports right in their smug faces as I hated them so much.
