It's really awful but ach - lesbianism is quite often commercialised and capitalised and sexualised to the degree where it's been seen as done for the male gaze. So yes, this is sort of thing isn't new.

Today's society is too soft kids have no respect now am one of if a child needs to be put in place I will dnot need to spank them but they do need to learn how to respect others I am so proud of my kids as they are allways well mannered think more people need to learn kids young then hopefully when they do get older this would not happen

Camden is particularly dangerous these days, especially around the Agar estate area. There are multiple gangs in existence.

As disgusting as it is, I doubt the girls refusing to kiss had much to do with the outcome, it's more likely just the salacious angle the Daily Mail et al choose to report it from.

This is a rather sickening attack on two young ladies who were having a night out in London.Generally London is very welcoming to LGBT community lots of bars in the Soho area as well as some in Camden which from what I understand is where the bus was or going when this attack happened.I hope TFL have some clear pictures of this scum so they are caught and locked up ASAP.

No. They will have given descriptions. It's not the sort of incident you are likely to forget immediately so getting genuine witnesses is important. The police may yet release pictures from the CCTV.

I have no doubt that they gave great detailed descriptions to the police.

As has been mentioned, descriptions are very rarely given out as it leads to people being falsely accused, especially with the mob justice of social media.

I don't doubt it either. I was just saying that lesbians or not, they were most probably going to get mugged on that bus. If it would have been a young m/f couple who kissed in front of the gang, it would have been the same, only without the press coverage.

I was stabbed at work 15 years ago and altho iv had a mental image to this day of things like his nails ( weird I know), accent etc i cdnt get a picture if his face in my mind and felt so stupid trying to do an E fit. Beware the far right populist parties who view LGBTQ Rights and people as less than human. Trump has this week stopped embassies flying the Pride flag. We've also got some alt right straight men wanting straight pride, as they insist that they are oppressed.

Like others I was completely appalled when I saw what these people had done to such lovely women. As a hate crime, the sick people who did this could face tougher sentences. I was in Soho with my female American friend when the bomb went off and London will probably want to send a clear message that such hatred as this is again not tolerated.

Avoid the politics of populism right wing rabble tossing, no country or its people deserve to be manipulated into simple fixes that restrict and inflame hate and agitation.

No coincidence at all. The polarising of the British public into a brutal "you're with me or you're against me" has led to the far extremes to believe they are the norm.

Unfortunately the most vocal and violent of these are the far right, who now believe that the majority of people also believe thier homophobic, xenophobic, racist rhetoric despite that being far from the truth.

I agree that a 15-hour event on a single day cannot by itself be responsible.

It is the ugly and intolerant political discourse since that has empowered people who might otherwise have been able to curb their caveman instincts.

Usually if they don't share footage or descriptions it's because they don't want people approaching either the wrong people, the right people because they are violent, and they want as much statmental primary evidence that's not compromised by possible incorrect witness or victim evidence like mixing up who was wearing what trainers with what jacket.

I heard on a radio show yesterday 3 radio presenters talking about this. One of them said something that resented, "its like how dare a woman reject a man's advances".

Now im not suggeding for a second this by any stretch of the imagination is the same but the only time I have had abusive messages from men is when iv said not interested. I just think a minority of men feel Tottaly entitled then get all bent of shape when they are "rejected".

But I also believe that our biologies are different. Testosterone makes men generally stronger than women. I used to go to clubs with a young lady who was a UK bodybuilder and power lifter and I seriously want to ever be on her wrong side.

So 1 thing im taking from this so far is that these pricks that attacked the 2 girls are being labelled as "men" across all media (this forum included).

The fact the media are painting things in the light of "4 men brutally attack 2 women for refusing to kiss" is almost as bad as the actual crime the young thugs commited, mainstream media are withholding alot of information regarding this and the cctv footage/images would of been released within an hour if it fit the narrative they wanted to tell.

Absolutely and yesterday were I live there was a second attack. She it seems we are going backwards unfortunately.

What I'm most amazed at here is that people are surprised and shocked that this happens.

I'm not the only one of my friends who has been assaulted by a man we didn't know for being with a woman.

I'm glad it's finally making headlines though. I just wish people had been outraged about this decades ago.
