I do that if I want to come back to it and maybe reply when I get chance.
Couple's may do it incase 1 of them have read it but they want the OH to read it too.
If I leave mine read then I'd forget to reply. |

Probs dont have time to reply right there and then, Or both partners are not present. Could be 101 reasons dont let it play on your mind bigman |

I do it so I can reply later when I have time and I may just whittling down my inbox.
That said if the sender then questions why I have marked unread or asks why I'm not talking or generally follows up before I have had the chance to respond it really doesn't go down well with me and an unread message will quickly become a deleted one.

I read them to see if they are worth replying to..if not, i unread them... then delete them for good measure...
It beats trying to remain calm whilst replying 'sorry not what I'm looking for' |
